Author Category Revival allows site administrators to control which categories each author can use when writing posts. Administrators can assign specific categories to authors and set which categories are checked by default in the post editor. Authors no longer have to worry about managing categories or figuring out which ones to select.
What the author sees:

How it works:

<li>Checks default categories in the preview (optional)</li>
<li>Saves changes with “Update Account”</li>
