Bigboss Recent Post Widget

I wanted to speed up my work using ready plugin and found THIS... It simply does not work. Is shows 404 Error: Not Found... Sorry, what? Page not found or what?
Ok, I decided to look into the code... I'd better not do this... Author uses have_posts() to list 'recent posts', no any WP_Query or something... How could that work at all?
