<h4>What data is sent and when</h4>

<li>Embed script — When a page loads on your site, the plugin loads a JavaScript file from <code>https://floatmessage.com/embed/floatmessage.js</code> to render your configured floating messages and chat widget. Your User ID is passed as a data attribute on the script tag.</li>
<li>Account connection — When you click “Connect FloatMessage Account”, the plugin opens floatmessage.com/login with a callback URL pointing back to your WordPress admin. After authentication, FloatMessage redirects back with your User ID. Your WordPress domain is automatically added to your FloatMessage account during this process.</li>
<li>Account status check — When an admin visits the plugin settings page, the plugin sends your User ID to <code>https://floatmessage.com/api/wp-status</code> to check your plan/trial status. This response is cached for 4 hours.</li>
<li>Live chat — When visitors use the chat widget, messages are transmitted to FloatMessage servers in real time.</li>
