Not a fan of all their plugins but this one does the job perfectly (now that the fixes I suggested have been implemented). Highly recommended.

Works as it says


Thank you for making this and putting it out for free. It isn't easy to find link preview features sometimes. 



Even if it has to be a pro/paid version, you might think about finding a way to have the link preview's image uploaded to wp-content uploads and then served from there. I'm sure that's not super easy to do, but in order for this to work consistently and work well on larger sites, the images need to get cached or hosted within the same WordPress installation.

Easily create a Facebook-like link preview for any link on your website. You can choose the image and text to display and create your very own custom template. The default template can be styled from the settings to match your website.
Some examples of what you could use this for:

It does not require any database lookups, which means even having many of these blocks on a page should not affect performance.

The plugin includes multiple URL metadata providers (PHP, Microlink API, and LinkPreview API) with automatic fallback switching. If one provider fails to fetch link information, the plugin automatically tries the next available provider. You can also manually retry with a different provider if needed.
