<p>This is an add-on for the <a href="https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/" rel="ugc">Advanced Custom Fields</a><br />
WordPress plugin and will not provide any functionality to WordPress unless Advanced Custom Fields is installed<br />
and activated.</p>
<p>The Location field provides:</p>
<ul>
<li>a search field where you can type in some coordinates or an address and hit <code>Enter</code>. </li>
<li>a Google map which you can click at the desired location.</li>
</ul>
<p>In both cases, Google will find the location and return the coordinates and the complete address, if you want it complete. A marker will be added at the desired location.</p>

<p><strong>Back-end</strong></p>
<p>The Location field comes with 3 options:</p>
<ol>
<li>The map address let you choose the value(s) to return on the front-end:
<ul>
<li>Coordinates & address</li>
<li>Coordinates</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>The map center let you set the coordinates used to center the initial blank map.</li>
<li>The map zoom.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Front-end</strong></p>
<p>Retrieving the value(s) on the front-end differs according to the Map address options.</p>

Advanced Custom Fields – Location Field add-on

Adds a Location field to Advanced Custom Fields. This field allows you to find addresses and coordinates of a desired location.

<p>Local JSON is a new feature added in version 5 which saves field group and field settings to files within your theme. The idea is similar to caching and both dramatically speeds up ACF and allows for version control over your field settings!</p>
<p>HOWEVER, the wp-admin field group edit screen will not load data from local json files, meaning you can not edit fields which are loaded from json files. This plugin solves this problem by creating an easy way to sync json fields into the database. This allows fields to be shared across multiple environments and contributors without having to export/import the database.</p>
<p>This plugin copies much of the functionality found in the Advanced Custom Fields export settings (advanced-custom-fields-pro/admin/settings-export.php).</p>
<h4>Notes</h4>
<ul>
<li>Local Json folder filename must be the default acf-json.</li>
<li>Syncing down json fields will overwrite all fields stored in the database. Use with caution!</li>
</ul>
