The Starting Affiliate ID add-on allows you to:
<ul>
<li>Set the ID of the first affiliate who registers for your new affiliate program, or</li>
<li>Set the ID for the next affiliate who registers for your existing affiliate program.</li>
</ul>
Setting your starting affiliate ID to a higher ID allows you to portray a more established affiliate program.
<h4>Set a custom ID for the very first affiliate who registers</h4>
Instead of 1, you could set it to 134, 753 or even 7563. In fact, you can configure any number up to 1,000,000. Whichever number you decide on, it will be given to the first user who registers as an affiliate on your website. As each new affiliate registers, their ID will increment by 1.
<h4>Set a custom ID for your next affiliate registration</h4>
Already have affiliates? You can still use this add-on to set the next affiliate ID. For example, if there are already 54 registered affiliates, you can set the next ID to 646. The next affiliate who registers will have that ID of 646.
<h4>A note before setting a custom affiliate ID</h4>
The Starting Affiliate ID must always be higher than the ID of your most recent affiliate. Make sure you’re satisfied with your custom ID before saving. Once an affiliate registers and receives that ID, it can no longer be lowered.

Offering a sign up bonus is a great way to entice more affiliates to register on your site. 
In turn these affiliates will go on to promote your products and services, making you more sales.
How it works
When an affiliate registers through the AffiliateWP registration form, or you 
manually add an affiliate from within the admin, a sign up bonus will be awarded 
(amount set from within the settings). This bonus is created in the form of a 
referral with a description of “Sign Up Bonus”, which can be viewed from the 
AffiliateWP → Referrals screen in the admin. The affiliate will see this on 
the “Unpaid Earnings” and “Referrals” sections of their affiliate dashboard.
When “Require approval” is enabled from AffiliateWP’s settings, the affiliate 
will not receive the sign up bonus until their application is approved. 
Likewise, if you manually add an affiliate from within the admin, the sign up 
bonus is not created until they are approved.
AffiliateWP includes the ability to manually add an affiliate (from the admin) with 
an affiliate status. If the “pending” status is chosen, the sign up bonus will 
not be created until the affiliate has been approved.
When adding a new affiliate from the admin area, you’ll see 2 additional fields:
Sign Up Bonus – Allows you to enable or disable the sign up bonus on a per-affiliate 
basis
Sign Up Bonus Amount – Allows you to set the sign up bonus on a per-affiliate basis, 
overriding the global sign up bonus setting.
Note: It would be a good idea to include information in your affiliate terms 
and conditions about a minimum payout amount, or you’ll have affiliates joining 
and requesting a payout straight away.
