<p>The “AI Reply” plugin adds a new “Reply with ChatGPT” option to the comment page in wp-admin. This option utilizes OpenAI API to generate a text response to the comment. It helps to save time and effort by auto-generating a response to the comment.</p>
<h3>OpenAI API</h3>
<p>The AI Reply relies on a API service provided by <a href="https://openai.com/" rel="nofollow ugc">OpenAI</a> for certain functionality. The data transmitted to the OpenAI servers primarily consists of the content of the comment you are replying. It is important to check your usage on the <a href="https://platform.openai.com/account/usage" rel="nofollow ugc">OpenAI website</a> for accurate information. Please also review their <a href="https://openai.com/privacy/" rel="nofollow ugc">Privacy Policy</a> and <a href="https://openai.com/terms/" rel="nofollow ugc">Terms of Service</a> for further information.</p>
<h3>Usage</h3>
<ol>
<li>Go to the <a href="https://openai.com/product" rel="nofollow ugc">OpenAI website</a></li>
<li>Click on the “Get started” button.</li>
<li>Create an account or just Continue with your Google or Microsoft Account</li>
<li>Once your registration is complete, you will receive an email with instructions on how to activate your account.</li>
<li>Once your account is activated, log in to the OpenAI API dashboard.</li>
<li>Click on the “API Keys” tab and then click the “Create new secret key” button.</li>
<li>Copy the API key and paste it here.</li>

<h3>Warning</h3>
<p>This plugin uses the “wp_insert_comment” hook, therefore, everytime a comment is created, a notification is likely to be sent. If you are importing comments into your blog, it’s a good idea to disable this plugin.</p>
<h3>Sending e-mails does not work?</h3>
<p>The plugin uses the standard WordPress e-mail function. If you have problems getting e-mails sent, you might try using plugins like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ to improve sending e-mails from your site.</p>
<h3>Customizing the layout of the checkboxes</h3>
<p>The label next to the checkboxes don’t contain a whitespace. Depending on your theme you might want to add a custom style like this to get a space between the checkbox and the label:</p>

<p>The plugin does not add this style be default as it depends on your theme if this is neccessary.</p>
<h3>Customizing the email template</h3>
<p>To customize the email template, copy the “templates” folder to your theme folder (a child theme should be used to avoid losing the custom templates when the theme is updated). The plugin will look for templates on the “/wp-content/themes/[THEME]/templates/cren/” folder; if a custom template is not found, then it will fallback to the default template.</p>

<h3>Changing the subscription checkbox label</h3>
<p>The checkbox label can be changed with the <code>cren_comment_checkbox_label</code> filter. This way you can update the text to your taste and keep the plugin updated.</p>

<p>The GDPR checkbox label can be changed with the <code>cren_gdpr_checkbox_label</code> filter. This way you can update the text to your taste and keep the plugin updated.</p>
<h3>Modifiying HTML output</h3>
<p>Using the filters <code>cren_gdpr_checkbox_html</code> and <code>cren_comment_subscribe_html</code> you can modify the HTML output of the checkboxes if needed.</p>

Comment Reply Email Notification

I always hated the WordPress default commenting system for one reason, it never sends a follow-up reply email to Comment Author. Guess, what? This plugin fixes it instantly. Of course, your e-mail system should be working in first place with proper SMTP services. 

It helps in keeping the user engaged. It's easy to use. There is sufficient option to be compliant with GDPR. The author of the plugin is professional, provides timely support. I wish him good health and happiness. 

If you're a serious blogger, I highly recommend this plugin. Go for it.
