<p>Archive your post types, also possible via cron; but only active via var inside the php-file.<br />
Use the shortcode [archive] to list all posts from Archive with status publish to a page or post.<br />
The shortcode can use different params and use the follow defaults.</p>

<p>Also you can change the parameters to create the custom post type of the Archiv via the filter hook <code>archive_post_type_arguments</code>.</p>

<p>A modified version of the default Archives widget to let the user specify a custom post type rather than ‘post’, and also allows of choice or yearly or monthly archives.</p>
<p>Requires WordPress 3.1, and the custom post type must have archives enabled, e.g., for a post type named ‘press-release’, args would include ‘has_archive’ => ‘press-release’.</p>
