AT Gallery is a simple and easy-to-use gallery plugin for WordPress that allows you to add bulk images to a gallery, display galleries with a shortcode, and show images in a lightbox on the frontend.

<h3>Usage</h3>
Once activated, you can create galleries by going to the AT Galleries menu item in your WordPress admin. Here’s how to use the plugin:

Add a new gallery:
<ul>
<li>Go to AT Galleries > Add New.</li>
<li>Add a title and select the images you want to add to the gallery.</li>
<li>You can add images using the Select Images button, and you will see them listed with a remove button if you wish to delete individual images.</li>
<li>The gallery shortcode will be displayed at the top of the editor. Copy the shortcode and paste it into any page, post, or widget.</li>

Display the gallery on the frontend:

<li>Use the shortcode <code>[atga id="gallery_id"]</code> where <code>GALLERY_ID</code> is the ID of the gallery you want to display. You can find the gallery ID in the URL when editing a gallery.</li>

Example shortcode: 
 `[atga id=”gallery_id”]“`
This will display the gallery with the specified ID.

Images open in a lightbox:

<li>The gallery images will automatically open in a lightbox when clicked, providing a smooth user experience for your visitors.</li>

<h3>Developer Notes</h3>
<ul>
<li>The gallery images are stored as post meta under the key <code>_at_gallery_images</code>.</li>
<li>You can use <code>wp_get_attachment_image()</code> to display images in the gallery or customize the output to fit your theme’s needs.</li>
<li>The plugin is fully extendable. You can modify the display template by overriding the template in your theme if needed.</li>

This plugin integrates PhotoSwipe to WordPress. All linked images in a post or page will be displayed using PhotoSwipe, regardless if they are part of a gallery or single images.

You can also display EXIF data from supported image types.
As of version 4.0.0 this plugin requires at least WordPress 5.3 and PHP 7.0. Older PHP version will cause problems. In this case you have to upgrade your PHP version or ask your hoster to do so. Please note that WordPress itself also recommends at least PHP 7.4 – see <a href="https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/" rel="ugc">https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/</a>.
Please keep in mind: not the visible thumbnail is relevant, but only the image link. Images should always be linked to the file and not to the attachment page. Since version 5.6.1 there is an option to fix attachment links which can be enabled if needed – however this may slow down your website since then all links on a page will be checked if they are attachment links.
