<p>AT Gallery is a simple and easy-to-use gallery plugin for WordPress that allows you to add bulk images to a gallery, display galleries with a shortcode, and show images in a lightbox on the frontend.</p>

<h3>Usage</h3>
<p>Once activated, you can create galleries by going to the <strong>AT Galleries</strong> menu item in your WordPress admin. Here’s how to use the plugin:</p>

<p><strong>Add a new gallery:</strong></p>

<li>Go to <strong>AT Galleries</strong> > <strong>Add New</strong>.</li>
<li>Add a title and select the images you want to add to the gallery.</li>
<li>You can add images using the <strong>Select Images</strong> button, and you will see them listed with a remove button if you wish to delete individual images.</li>
<li>The gallery shortcode will be displayed at the top of the editor. Copy the shortcode and paste it into any page, post, or widget.</li>

<p><strong>Display the gallery on the frontend:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Use the shortcode <code>[atga id="gallery_id"]</code> where <code>GALLERY_ID</code> is the ID of the gallery you want to display. You can find the gallery ID in the URL when editing a gallery.</li>

<p>Example shortcode:<br />
   `[atga id=”gallery_id”]“`</p>
<p>This will display the gallery with the specified ID.</p>

<p><strong>Images open in a lightbox:</strong></p>

<li>The gallery images will automatically open in a lightbox when clicked, providing a smooth user experience for your visitors.</li>

<h3>Developer Notes</h3>
<ul>
<li>The gallery images are stored as post meta under the key <code>_at_gallery_images</code>.</li>
<li>You can use <code>wp_get_attachment_image()</code> to display images in the gallery or customize the output to fit your theme’s needs.</li>
<li>The plugin is fully extendable. You can modify the display template by overriding the template in your theme if needed.</li>

I selected this plug-in to replace the default gallery block. My primary interest was a grid that would include navigation arrows and a load more button. Both of these features work well and I would recommend this plug-in.
