<h4>External Service</h4>
Aube AI is a hosted software-as-a-service product. This plugin connects your WordPress site to Aube AI’s hosted service at <code>https://api.aubeai.io</code> and dashboard at <code>https://wp.aubeai.io</code>.
The widget JavaScript is bundled with this plugin. The widget and plugin send requests to Aube AI’s API to load widget settings, create chat sessions, send customer messages, receive AI responses, record feedback, and, when WooCommerce is connected, answer product, inventory, order, and refund-request questions.
Data sent to Aube AI can include your site URL, widget token, chat messages, conversation metadata, product names and inventory data, customer-provided order identifiers, customer-provided email addresses, order details needed to answer order-status questions, and refund-request details submitted by the customer. WooCommerce REST API credentials are entered in the Aube AI dashboard, stored by Aube AI, and are not saved in WordPress by this plugin.

<h4>Source Code and Build</h4>
The source code used to generate the bundled widget file at <code>assets/js/widget.wordpress.js</code> is included in this plugin under <code>source/widget/</code>.
To rebuild the WordPress widget bundle:

<li>Run <code>npm ci</code></li>
<li>Run <code>npm run build:wp</code></li>
<li>Copy <code>dist/widget.wordpress.js</code> to <code>assets/js/widget.wordpress.js</code></li>

The build uses Vite, TypeScript, Preact, and Terser as declared in <code>source/widget/package.json</code>.
<h4>WooCommerce Integration</h4>
When WooCommerce is active, Aube AI can:

To enable this, connect WooCommerce from your <a href="https://wp.aubeai.io" rel="nofollow ugc">Aube AI dashboard</a> under Settings. Your API credentials are stored securely in the Aube AI cloud and are never saved in WordPress.

<h3>External services</h3>
This plugin connects to the CauserieBot service to provide chatbot functionality. The connection to this external service is required for the plugin to work.
1. CauserieBot API — fetching the chatbot list
When you click “Load my chatbots” in the settings page, the plugin sends an authenticated request to <code>https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/api/public/chatbots</code> with your API key in the <code>Authorization</code> header to retrieve the list of chatbots associated with your CauserieBot account.

<li>When: only on demand, when you click “Load my chatbots” from the settings page. No data is sent automatically.</li>

2. CauserieBot widget — front-end chatbot
When the chatbot is enabled, the plugin loads a JavaScript file from <code>https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/widget.js</code> on the public side of your site. This widget displays the chatbot interface and communicates with CauserieBot servers to process visitor messages.
<ul>
<li>Data sent: the selected chatbot ID (server-side), then on the visitor side, the messages typed into the chatbot as well as standard browsing metadata (user agent, IP address, referrer) collected by CauserieBot to provide the service.</li>
<li>When: on every public page of the site when the chatbot is enabled.</li>
