<p>This plugin, when activated, will add a <code><link></code> to the <code><head></code> of an Author page with <code>rel="me"</code>, if that author has set a “Website” in their profile.</p>
<p>This can be useful for things like Mastodon URL verification.</p>
<h3>Example</h3>
<p>If an author has set their website to <code>https://www.example.com</code>, this plugin will add the following HTML to the <code><head></code> on their author page:</p>

<p>To verify with Mastodon etc., the author would need to use the URL to their Author archive page, typically something like <code>https://www.your-site.example/author/evelyn</code>.</p>

<p><a href="http://nodeinfo.diaspora.software/" rel="nofollow ugc">NodeInfo</a> is an effort to create a standardized way of exposing metadata about a server running one of the distributed social networks. The two key goals are being able to get better insights into the user base of distributed social networking and the ability to build tools that allow users to choose the best fitting software and server for their needs.</p>
<p>This plugin provides a barebone JSON file with basic “node”-informations. The file can be extended by other WordPress plugins, like <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/ostatus-for-wordpress/" rel="ugc">OStatus</a>, <a href="https://github.com/pfefferle/wordpress-dandelion" rel="nofollow ugc">Diaspora</a> or <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/activitypub/" rel="ugc">ActivityPub</a>/<a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/pterotype/" rel="ugc">Pterotype</a>.</p>

<p>The plugin exposes the following public information about your site:</p>
