Automatic Featured Image Posts creates a new post with a Featured Image every time an image is uploaded. Through the plugin settings page, you can set the image to publish and assign itself to one of your other existing custom post types and/or post formats.
The imagined use case is to make managing a large number of photos through WordPress a little more interesting and a little more fun.
After uploading 10, 100, or 1000 pictures from an event or vacation, you and other users can go through and spend the majority of your time adding content, tags, and titles to your photographs rather than going through a monotonous process creating new posts over and over again.
Settings are available for:

<li>Default Post Status (draft, pending, published, private)</li>

<li>Default is the WordPress post.</li>
<li>Can choose any custom post type registered in your WordPress installation.</li>

<li>Default is ‘standard’, which equates to none.</li>
<li>Other options are provided if registered by your theme</li>

Filters are available for:

<li><code>afip_new_post_title</code> = Allow other functions or themes to change the post title before creation.</li>
<li><code>afip_new_post_category</code> = Allow other functions or themes to change the post categories before creation.</li>
<li><code>afip_new_post_content</code> = Allow other functions or themes to change the post content before creation.</li>
<li><code>afip_new_post_date</code> = Allow other functions or themes to change the post date before creation.</li>
<li><code>afip_post_parent_continue</code> = Allow creation of a new post when an image is inserted in an existing post.</li>
<li><code>afip_continue_new_post</code> = Allow other functions or themes to skip creation of a post.</li>
</ul>
Actions are available for:
<ul>
<li><code>afip_pre_create_post</code> = Runs immediately before each post is created for an image.</li>
<li><code>afip_created_post</code> = Runs after each image load is processed.</li>

One of those plugins which make my life a lot easier. Yes, it's rather specific, but for those who want to use wordpress as a photoblog it's great.

On request though, could you update the "tested up to" tag in the readme? Wordpress.org complains it's too long ago since something changed and it doesn't show up anymore in the search results for new plugins. As it works quite nice under 4.9.1, a minor update would solve this issue.

Adds local (private) avatars for your users. Maybe your users don’t want a global avatar, aren’t IT savvy enough to set a Gravatar up, simply want a private avatar for your blog, or any other reason too… Well, from WordPress 2.5 onwards, you can manage local and global avatars with this plugin. Plus you can use your Twitter avatar too!
From v9.0 Avatars requires PHP version 5.1.3 or greater.
The plug-in now delivers the much requested feature of allowing users to upload their own local avatar. And, the latest new feature allows your users to use their <a href="http://twitter.com" rel="nofollow ugc">Twitter</a> avatar. The order of precedence is; Local, Twitter, then Global. In other words; if you define a Local avatar for a user, that will be used, if there is no Local avatar defined and a Twitter ID is given for a user, the plugin will try to use that avatar. Lastly, where no Local avatar is defined and no Twitter ID is given (or Twitter doesn’t return a match), a unique Global avatar (<a href="http://gravatar.com/" rel="nofollow ugc">Gravatar</a>) will be generated.
The local avatar feature list:

<li>Have global or local avatars for your users.</li>
<li>Use Twitter avatars for your users.</li>
<li>Allow avatars to be included in posts. This is achieved securely; e-mail addresses are not exposed.</li>
<li>Detailed control over the default avatar to use for those users who do not have a global or local avatar. Allows a choice of a custom image, ‘mystery’ blank image, blank, Wavatar, Monster ID, or Identicon.</li>
<li>Wraps avatars in code to support SnapShots (www.snap.com), should your site use these.</li>
<li>Permits users to upload their own local avatars.</li>
</ul>

Plus there is now a new sidebar widget extension to the plug-in that provides a feature allowing users to manage their avatar from the sidebar without having to use WordPress’ profile administration page. Avatars provides support for language translations. Ensure WPLANG is set in your <code>wp-config</code> file. 
To help with the available translations create a .po translation and compile a .mo file. Add Local Avatar

When I tried to add the user avatar the plugin showed the link as
//image-file.jpg 
Basically the plugin is broken.



It simply does not work

This plugin adds the ability to manage global, local, and use twitter avatars.
