This Plugin lets you style bbPress, and add display features.
You can change the forum styling for elements, letting you match (or contrast!) bbPress to your theme
Many features are available at the click of a button, such as creating vertical lists, adding create new topic links, hiding counts and much more.

I've been a user of this plugin for years. It's a HUGE time-saver customizing the look-and-feel of bbPress forums and even adds some essential forum functions like subscriptions, moderation, and site integrations.



Disclosure: I've contributed code to this plugin, so of course my rating is biased. Don't take my word for it, just look at the swift responses in the support forum and the abundance of 5-star reviews.

This plugin displays private forums titles to non logged-in users in main index.
This allows non logged-in users to see that forums exist, but have no acces to these.
If selected by a non logged-in user, the use is sent to a page (determined in settings), allowing the admin to determine what information is given, eg login, registration, text etc.
It also has the options to
display forum content (descriptions) for sub forums
remove the prefix ‘private’ from all private forums
Works with bbpress 2.5.4
