This plugin adds <a href="https://www.google.com/recaptcha/" rel="nofollow ugc">Google’s reCAPTCHA</a> to the BuddyPress registration page and WordPress login page to prevent bots from registering and keep your site free from spam registrations.
reCAPTCHA is “tough on bots, easy on humans”: while it is increbianle effective on preventing bots from registering, most of the time all the user needs to do to verify themselves is simply check a box.
After installing this plugin, you will need to <a href="https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin" rel="nofollow ugc">register your site with Google</a> (requires a Google account) and enter the site key and secret key on the Settings > BuddyPress > Options admin menu. If you would prefer not to use Google’s service, there is an alternative security check method also available; see below;
Prior to version 2.0, a less effective security check method was used where the user needed to answer simple math sum before registering. This method is still available, and can be turned on on the Settings > BuddyPress > Options menu.

This Khan Exercises for WordPress plugin lets you host Khan Academy exercises in your WordPress blog. <a href="http://www.khanacademy.org/exercisedashboard" rel="nofollow ugc">Khan Exercises</a> make learning complex subjects fun and they are free to everyone! However, the framework is very complex; it’s difficult to embed its exercises into another web site. We made <a href='https://github.com/psimakov/khan-exercises' rel="nofollow ugc">framework changes</a>, which make it easier to embed the exercises and collect the exercise results right in your WordPress blog.
<h3>Who developed this plugin and why?</h3>
This plugin was developed by <a href="http://www.softwaresecretweapons.com/jspwiki/about" rel="nofollow ugc">Pavel Simakov</a> and uses a fork of Khan Academy Exercises Framework. Pavel currently works at Google as a lead engineer on <a href="https://code.google.com/p/course-builder/" rel="nofollow ugc">Google Course Builder</a> and other educational initiatives. He is also a founder of an adaptive education site <a href="http://www.itestyou.com" rel="nofollow ugc">itestyou.com</a>. Engaging interactive activities are fundamental to effective learning. Khan Academy Exercises are great! Now it’s also easy to create and use them everywhere on the Web.
