Controllercons are a set of video game controller icons created primarly for web use. This plugin allows you to embed them directly into your WordPress content using the wysiwyg editor.
HOW TO USE 
The Controllercons plugin will add a new icon within the wysiwyg editor within the WordPress admin. Click on the Toolbar icon to expand the toolbar view and you will see the Controllercons icon.
Clicking this icon will reveal all of the controller icons that can be embedded into your content. Click on any of them to automatically place the icon.
Icons will appear as shortcodes when editing a post but can be viewed when previewing and publishing content
SHORTCODE 
Whilst the easiest method of using Controllercons is via the wysiwyg editor you can also use the shortcode anywhere within your content.

The ID parameter is the controller reference and size is an optional parameter should you wish to use it. The size paramemeter accepts any number (decimals included) or fixed values i.e. 10px, 1.2rem or 1.4em. By default the size will be a <code>em</code> value so a size of 2 will return 2em.
Shortcodes can also be used in your site template files using the following function <code><?php echo do_shortcode( '[controllercon id="snes" size="1"]' ); ?></code>

Works exclusively through the use of Fontello’s free icon font service.

This plugin relies on a third party service for it’s functionality provided by <a href="http://fontello.com" rel="nofollow ugc">Fontello</a>. No private information is sent to their server, rather their provided webfont downloads are what’s used to add fonts to this plugin.

<h3>Plugin Removal</h3>
Removing this plugin will render your custom icons to be deleted. Take care to un-select them from your icon elements prior to plugin removal.

Custom Icons for Elementor

It does what it advertises. Pretty straighforward. And for those among us who value a little helper tool which helps to get additional custom icons in the icon selector drop downs from elementor, then this fits just perfect. It's lightweight and relatively easy to setup. I prefer to package my icons as fontello package and use it the way this plugin offers, instead of manually fiddeling around with additional markup and css.

Just one thing to keep in mind (which is also a suggestion). Do not regenerate the css if not really needed. It unfortunately swipes away your whole config then and you're forced to setup all icons again by going into every element on every page and re-selecting your icons. A simple JS Alert would have been helpful to warn me upfront about that :D
