<p><strong>Cope Login</strong> allows you to change your WordPress login URL from the default <code>wp-login.php</code> or <code>/wp-admin</code> to anything you like. This helps protect your site from brute-force attacks and automated login attempts by making your login page harder to find.</p>

<li>Go to <strong>Cope Login</strong> in your admin sidebar.</li>
<li>Enter your custom login URL slug (e.g., <code>my-login</code>).</li>
<li>(Optional) Set a redirect slug for users who visit <code>wp-login.php</code>.</li>
<li>Customize your login page under the <strong>Login Page Customization</strong> tab.</li>
<li>Click <strong>Save Changes</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Important:</strong> Bookmark your new login URL. If you lose it, you may not be able to log in.</li>

<p><strong>Example:</strong><br />
If your site is at <code>https://www.example.com</code> and you set your login URL to <code>my-login</code>, your new login page will be:<br />
    https://www.example.com/my-login/</p>
<h3>Multisite Support</h3>
<ul>
<li>Only <strong>network super admins</strong> can change the login URL.</li>
<li>Each site in the network can have its own custom login slug if activated per-site.</li>

<li>Slug validation prevents conflicts with existing post/page slugs.</li>

It used to do one job, be lightweight, fast and as little code as possible.

Now it's bloated, includes Freemius library+tracking, added a new top-level menu, and includes several options that are not required.

I do not recommend. I forked the old one and kept it light and fast.

"Does one thing and does it good" - Not anymore


I used to love this plugin for its simplicity and efficiency. It performed its job flawlessly and was a great asset. However, the recent update has turned this once-free tool into a paid upgrade with numerous new features that many users may not need. This shift from a well-functioning free plugin to a feature-packed paid version feels like a betrayal to its loyal users. The essence of what made this plugin great has been lost in the quest for monetization. It's disappointing to see such a change.
