<p>A countdown clock timer widget and shortcode from <a href="http://ipadstopwatch.com" rel="nofollow ugc">ipadstopwatch.com</a>. It works on PC and mobile devices. It adjusts to any size. Very easy to use just specify the date a title and a message for when the day is reached. Great for events like big games, birthdays, new years, etc.</p>
<h3>How it works</h3>
<p>You can either add it in the widgets screen, or you can use the shortcode:</p>
<p>[countdown date=’January 1, 2014′ title=’New Year Countdown’ message=’Happy New Year’ width=’157′]</p>
<p>Optionally you can specify a width.</p>
<p>The widget works by pulling in the actual full countdown web application<br />
from the <a href="http://ipadstopwatch.com" rel="nofollow ugc">ipadstopwatch.com</a> site.</p>
<p>More specifically it pulls in an HTML file into an iframe.</p>

<p>Countdown Timer allows you to setup one or more dates to count down to or away from.</p>
<p>Events can be inserted into the sidebar using the widget, or within posts and pages using shortcodes.</p>
<p>Currently supports 22 languages.</p>
<h3>Translations</h3>
<h4>Using another language</h4>
<p>You’ll need to modify your wp-config.php file. To do this…</p>
<ol>
<li>Open your <code>wp-config.php</code> file in a text editor and search for: <code>define ('WPLANG', '');</code></li>
<li>Edit this line according to the language you want to use (and is available). For example, for Deutsch spoken in Germany, you must add: <code>('WPLANG', 'de_DE');</code></li>
<li>Once you’ve added your language code, save the file.</li>
<li>Upload the modified wp-config.php file into the WordPress root directory.</li>
</ol>
<p>Of course, you’ll replace de_DE with the language extension that you want to use, unless of course you actually did want the German language translation.
