This plugin was forked from the <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-sidebars/" rel="ugc">Custom Sidebars plugin</a>, which we used for a few years, but their plugin development stalled, so we were forced to create this plugin. We really appreciate the work of developers of the original plugin!
This plugin allows you to create your own custom sidebars, configure them by adding widgets, and replace the default sidebars on posts or pages you want in just few clicks.
Here is the tl;dr list of the differences from original source:

<li>Compatibility with the latest stable PHP version (namely PHP 7.0+).</li>
<li>Removed the “archive pages” functionality – replacing the custom sidebars on archive pages is not possible (e.g. on certain categories).</li>

Unlimited Number of Sidebars
This plugin will allow you to create unlimited number of custom sidebars that you will be able to place in your overlays. Once a sidebar is created it will be available in Appearance -> Widgets section just like any other sidebar. Newly created sidebars can have <a href="http://otwthemes.com/horizontal-or-vertical-widget-alignment/?utm_source=wp.org&utm_medium=page&utm_content=docs&utm_campaign=psw" rel="nofollow ugc">vertical or horizontal widget alignment</a>.
Custom Layouts – OTW Grid Manager
Creating custom layouts in your overlays is just a few clicks job with the OTW Grid Manager. No coding is required. It is all done in a very easy to use interface.
Custom styling
Create a new class for each overlay / popup in its edit screen so you can style it however you want.
