The last ±10 years I used Yoast SEO (free version) for all the websites I manage (±200). Yoast is still good, but for now SEOPress is a much better solution:- More (free) features- It doesn't slow down your WP Dashboard- The Premium version is very affordable (if you need to use it)

Easy-peasy setup


While it may not be the most polished user interface, it does exactly what it needs to do and has a lower footprint and higher performance than many other solutions. Also, a lot less cross-promotion and in-WordPress advertising.



The Pro version is very cost-effective, especially if you need local SEO, e-commerce, video, or other things that require premium upgrades or add-ons using other plugins.
