<p><strong>Display Last Posts</strong> is a plugin that allows you to display the last post(s) (by default, the last one only) anywhere on your blog.</p>

<p>Two ways are available: using a shortcode in posts or pages, within the CMS, or putting a small PHP code in a template of your theme.</p>
<p><strong>shortcode</strong> : [last-posts] or [last-posts nb=”5″ cont=”excerpt”]</p>
<p><strong>code PHP</strong> : < ?php lastPosts(”,”); ?> or < ?php lastPosts(5,’excerpt’); ?> (suppress space between < and ?)</p>
<p>The shortcode is: <strong>[last-posts]</strong><br />
By default, only the last post is displayed, with its whole content.<br />
Optional arguments, ex.:  <strong>[last-posts nb=”5″ cont=”excerpt”]</strong> – with [nb] you specify the quantity of posts you want to display (always newest first), and with [cont=”excerpt”] you specify that only the excerpt of the posts will be displayed.</p>
<p>The PHP code for templates is: <strong>< ?php lastPosts(”,”); ?></strong><br />

Allows to display the last post(s) anywhere on your WordPress site/blog, using a shortcode or a short PHP code (for the templates).

<p>Creates the <code>[lastupdated]</code> shortcode to display the date and/or time of the last update to a post or page. If used without any arguments, it will display the date in the format configured in the Settings > General tab. It supports several optional arguments: format, before, and after. These options allow you to change how the date/time is formatted and if anything should appear before or after the date/time is displayed.</p>

So simple to use.  I install this on every site I create where there are legal pages like: terms of use, privacy policy, etc.
