<p><strong>How it works</strong></p>
<p>DocRenders sends your post HTML to the DocRenders rendering service and streams the resulting PDF directly to the visitor’s browser — no files are stored on your server.</p>

<h3>External services</h3>
<p>This plugin connects to the DocRenders API to generate PDFs. No PDF files are stored on your server — they are streamed directly to the visitor’s browser.</p>
<p><strong>Endpoints used:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><code>/render</code> — called whenever a visitor clicks the PDF download button or a WooCommerce invoice is generated. Sends the post/page HTML (or invoice data) and your API key.</li>
<li><code>/usage</code> — called periodically from the admin settings page to display your monthly render count. Sends only your API key.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Data sent:</strong> post or page HTML content, invoice field values (shop name, address, order details), API key (as a Bearer token), and optional rendering options (page format, margins).</p>

<h4>How does it work?</h4>
<p>JavaScript cannot communicate with printer directly, so it needs middle layer: Posnet Server RESTful service (download it from here: https://blog.bigdotsoftware.pl/posnet-server-instalacja/). WordPress Plugin generates JavaScript to perform HTTP/HTTPS requests to the Posnet Server (as default running on localhost on ports 3050 and 3051, see more details here: https://blog.bigdotsoftware.pl/posnet-server-wprowadzenie/).</p>
<p>JavaScript nie może komunikować się bezpośrednio z drukarką fiskalną, dlatego potrzebuje warstwy pośredniej: serwisu RESTful Posnet Server (do pobrania: https://blog.bigdotsoftware.pl/posnet-server-installation/). Wtyczka WordPress generuje JavaScript wykonujący requesty HTTP/HTTPS do Posnet Server (domyślnie Posnet Server działa na localhost na portach 3050 i 3051, więcej tutaj: https://blog.bigdotsoftware.pl/posnet-server-wprowadzenie/).</p>
<h4>Security note</h4>
<p>We recommend communication between web browser and Posnet Server service to be done via localhost (web browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc. should run on the same computer where Posnet Server is installed). Customizable/remote connections should be established via HTTPS, not HTTP. Wrong plugin configuration may cause data leaks and can be a subject of legal consequences. <p>Zalecamy aby przeglądarka www komunikowała się z serwisem Posnet Server po localhost (przeglądarka www, taka jak Chrome, Firefox, Safari itp., powinna być uruchomiona na tym samym komputerze, na którym zainstalowany jest Posnet Server).
