This plugin collects voluntary user chat data (i.e., Name, Chat Message, and optional URL field). It also gives the administrator the option to collect or not collect user IP information. Aside from those two things, this plugin does not collect or store any user data. This plugin uses a few cookies for the chat functionality. It does not connect to any third-party locations. Minimal impact on privacy.

Simple Ajax Chat – Add a Fast, Secure Chat Box


It's a very nice plugin, not surprising because this author is a beast... here are things I wish this plugin will have in future updates:




option to autoconvert links shared in chat (if someone types wordpress.com or www.wordpress.com have it auto convert)



option to type :smile: and prepopulate with smiles as if I was using an emoji picker on windows with WIN + . or in discord when I type : i see a popup



enable cron auto-delete chat after XYZ days / hours



blacklist is great, would be awesome if you integrated a link to a github .txt repo that includes copy / paste in raw text



if logged in as site admin, show link on front-end at bottom to redirect to options (so I can more quickly clear chat)



add some media queries to default css to make it responsive
