<p>This plugin allows you to create document download forms. Visitors fill out the form and recieve the email with URL to download. You can easily provide a simple lead generation system.</p>

<h4>What should I use it for?</h4>

<h4>Other features</h4>
<ul>
<li>You can change email body.</li>
<li>When you upload PDF or ZIP files to the form, these file prevent direct access (also search engine indexing).</li>
<li>Forms can have email as well as profession, company, location, full name. You can also set the form to have only email.</li>
<li>Forms can eliminate competitors and “just looking” customers. If they choose NG attribute in the form, they can’t access the form for about a month (You can also disable this feature).</li>

<h4>Disallowed list</h4>
<p>To eliminate disposable email addresses and spams, you can use the disallowed list.<br />
This plugin can utilize WordPress Disallowed Comment Keys. Also you can use plugin’s setting. Put one word per line in the text box. You can use following setting box.</p>

<li>Dashboard > Settings > Discussion > Disallowed Comment Keys</li>
<li>Dashboard > Download Forms > Settings > Disallowed Keys</li>
</ul>
<p>WordPress disallowed list is used for comments and other plugins in all of your site.<br />
Download Form disallowed list is used for only download form by this plugin.</p>

<h4>This plugin doesn’t have these features…</h4>
<p>We want to plugins keep simple.</p>
<ul>
<li>No GDPR checkbox display (This plugin uses cookies). — However it is not mandatory in Japan.</li>
<li>No function to send mass emails.</li>
<li>This plugin saves the customer’s email to database but not other information (name, company, etc.). Manage customer information on your computer, not on WordPress.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Notice</h4>
<ul>
<li>Do not delete the download page (which the customer visits to download the document) or change the slug. It is OK to change another part of the shortcode.</li>
<li>When deactivated, shortcords for this plugin become invalid (Shortcodes will display as it is). When you quit to use this plugin, we recommend that you set the corresponding page or post to “Private” or “Draft”.</li>

<h4>Please test the form before release</h4>
<p>Even if you fill out the form and there are no errors, the email may not have been sent correctly. If you don’t see the email being sent, try the plugin “<a href="https://ja.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/" rel="nofollow ugc">WP Mail SMTP</a>“.</p>

<p>This is a <strong>simple plugin</strong> that allows visitors to enter their name and email address on your website, the visitors details are then added to the subscribers list which is available to view and modify in the WordPress admin area.</p>
<p>This plugin can be used not only for Mailing List subscriptions but can be used generally for collecting email address and/or peoples names that are visiting your website.</p>
<p>The name/email form can not only be customised but can also be displayed on any WordPress page by using either the ‘Subscribe Widget’, WordPress shortcode [smlsubform] or from your WordPress theme by calling the php function.</p>
<p>I developed this plugin as I could not find any plugin that simply allows users to submit their name and email address to a simple list viewable in the WordPress admin, all the plugins that I found had lots of extra features such as 3rd party integration, mass emailing and double opt-in, my clients do not need any of these features.</p>
<h4>Extra Options</h4>
<p>I have developed some customizable options that allow you to change the way the plugin is displayed.</p>
<p>Below is an explanation of what each option does:-</p>
<ul>
<li>“prepend”     ->  Adds a paragraph of text just inside the top of the form.</li>
<li>“showname”    ->  If true, this with show the name label and input field for capturing the users name.</li>
<li>“nametxt”     ->  Text that is displayed to the left of the name input field.</li>
<li>“nameholder”  ->  Text that is displayed inside the name input box as a place holder.</li>
<li>“emailtxt”    ->  Text that is displayed to the left of the email input field.</li>
<li>“emailholder” ->  Text that is displayed inside the email input box as a place holder.</li>
<li>“showsubmit”  ->  If true, this with show the submit button, return required to submit form.</li>
<li>“submittxt”   ->  Text/value that will be displayed on the form submit button.</li>
<li>“jsthanks”    ->  If true, this will display a JavaScript Alert Thank You message instead of a paragraph above the form.</li>
<li>“thankyou”    ->  Thank you message that will be displayed when someone subscribes. (Will not show if blank)</li>
</ul>
<h4>Extra Options – How to Use (Short Code Method)</h4>
<p>Short codes can be used simply putting the code into your wordpress page, here is an example of the shortcode in use.</p>
