This plugin applies some fixes to allow mod_pagespeed to better optimise your site.
Currently the plugin performs these steps:

<li>Strips id and media attributes from stylesheet tags, allowing pagespeed to combine them properly.</li>

Tengo un par de VPS con CentOS 7 y el módulo pagespeed instalado y por algún motivo este plugin hace que todo vaya mucho mejor, no se como lo hace pero me funciona. Ojalá que pudieran actualizarlo mas a menudo.
