<p>This plugin adds a block to your block editor.<br />
This block changes its display depending on a current user’s capability.</p>

<li>You can set capability for block.</li>
<li>If a current user has a capability for the block, its content will be replaced.</li>
<li>Or else, block is displayed as log in link.</li>
<li>This block is an inner block, so you can nest any blocks inside it. Convert it to a reusable block for your productivity.</li>

<p>This plugin use REST API to convert block content, so you can use it with cached WordPress.<br />
Even if you use CDN like <a href="https://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/" rel="nofollow ugc">CloudFront</a> or <a href="https://www.cloudflare.com/" rel="nofollow ugc">Cloudflare</a>, this plugin displays proper contents for each users.</p>
<p>For performance enhancement, <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/cookie-tasting/" rel="ugc">Cookie Tasting</a> is recommended.<br />
It decrease server access including REST API by checking COOKIE value before accessing to server side script.</p>

<p>Restrict certain pages or posts to logged in users</p>
<p>This plugin will allow you to restrict all, none, or certain pages/posts to logged in users only.</p>
<p>In some cases where you are using WordPress as a CMS and only want logged in users to have access to the content or where you want users to register for purposes unknown so that they can see the content, then this plugin is what you are looking for.</p>
<p>Simple admin interface to select all, none, or some of your pages/posts.  This now works for posts!</p>
<h3>Upgrade</h3>
<ol>
<li>Deactivate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>
<li>Delete the previous <code>pagerestrict</code> folder from the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Upload the new <code>pagerestrict</code> folder to the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>
</ol>
<h3>Usage</h3>
<ol>
<li>Visit Settings>Page Restrict in the admin area of your blog.</li>
<li>Select your restriction method (all, none, selected).</li>
<li>If you chose selected, select the pages you wish to restrict.</li>
<li>Enjoy.</li>

This plugin used to work great, but with WordPress 4.8+, it fails and the author hasn't provided any recourse. For shame.
