This is an addon for the Block Editor Customiser which allows you to hide core blocks in the Editor. 
Please be aware it is possible to make them visible again if the user has access to the ‘Show more tools and options’ 
menu where they can select the ‘Block Manager’ to reactivate the blocks hidden by this addon.
If you do not want this to happen the only way of preventing it is to hide the ‘Show more tools and options’ menu item which can 
be done from the main settings page in the Block Editor Customiser.
If you want to deactivate or uninstall this addon, then please uncheck all block types that have 
been checked, save the changes, and open a post or page before deactivation, otherwise any block types that have 
been previously hidden will remain hidden unless displayed using the ‘Block Manager’ mentioned above.
** NOTE: ** This plugin requires version 1.6+ of the Foxdell Folio Block Editor Customiser to work.

Foxdell Folio BEC Disable Core Blocks

Disable core blocks to restrict users to certain features.

After the plugin has been installed features of the Block Editor can be turned off and on using the settings page 
or the two hooks provided which can be called with do_action.
The plugin also allows customisation of the look and feel of the Block Editor through the selection of themes. The only theme bundled with the 
plugin is the Default theme, which has the same look and feel as the base Block Editor.
Other themes can be found by seraching the wordPress.org plugin repository.
The two hooks are:-
‘fofo_bec_feature_on’ to turn features on and 
‘fofo_bec_feature_off’ to turn features off.
Currently supported features are :-

<li>The ‘Category Panel’ on the settings sidebar [use feature name ‘category_panel’]</li>
<li>The ‘Tag Panel’ on the settings sidebar [use feature name ‘tag_panel’]</li>
<li>The ‘Featured Image Panel’ on the settings sidebar [use feature name ‘featured_image_panel’]</li>
<li>The ‘Excerpt Panel’ on the settings sidebar [use feature name ‘excerpt_panel’]</li>
<li>The ‘Discussion Panel’ on the settings sidebar [use feature name ‘discussion_panel’]</li>
<li>The ‘Permalink Panel’ on the settings sidebar [use feature name ‘permalink_panel’]</li>
<li>The ‘Top Toolbar’ option can be toggled on/off [use feature name ‘top_toolbar’]</li>
<li>The ‘Spotlight Mode’ can be toggled on/off [use feature name ‘spotlight_mode’]</li>
<li>The ‘Fullscreen mode’ can be toggled on/off [use feature name ‘fullscreen’]</li>
<li>The ‘Show more tools and options’ button can be turned off [use feature name ‘edit_post_more_menu’]</li>
