<h3>Please Update because of CVE-2024-12459</h3>
<p>Previous versions of this plugin were vulnerable to CVE-2024-12459, which was addressed in 0.2.5. Thanks to Wordfence and yudaha for reporting it.</p>
<p>Prior to 0.2.5, there was a vulnerability that allowed arbitrary JavaScript code to be loaded on “websites that have been cracked and administrator access rights given to an attacker.”</p>
<p>However, this is a problem for already cracked on website, so users do not need to be overly cautious. Even if you don’t use a plugin, an attacker with the necessary access can freely inject any JavaScript code they want. An attacker does not need to bother to use this plugin, and is free to inject any JavaScript code they have access to. I recommend updating just in case.</p>

<p>0.2.5以前は「クラッキングされて管理者のアクセス権が、攻撃者に渡ったウェブサイト」においては、任意のJavaScriptコードをロードできる脆弱性があります。</p>
<p>ただし、それはそもそもクラッキングされたことが問題なのであって、プラグインの使用以前の問題であり、利用者が過度に身構える必要はありません。攻撃者はこのプラグインをわざわざ使用する必要はなく、攻撃者はアクセス権があれば任意のJavaScriptコードを自由に設置できるのですから。念の為アップデートをおすすめします。</p>

… it also unchecks the parent category if you uncheck a child even if there are other childs of that parent that are still checked.

This seems like a bug to me.
