Google for WooCommerce

This plugins is laking features which make it useless in most instances. For one there is no way to map or use GTIN/MPN numbers from Woocommerce, no guidance on what fields to use for that, and most products will be invalidated by merchant center without that. Also, there is no way to setup local inventory feed, no mention of it, and again no information on how to proceed so another Feed plugin is needed just for that, which at that point begs the questions why have two plugins installed? The only real use of this plugin is that you can sort of manage ads from the plugin, but again there are a lot of tasks that can't be done so still need to login to Google Ads.  I have found in the 2 installations I tried to use it I had to uninstall it and go back to feed plugins that mapped GTIN to either SKU or a GTIN field and did local inventory feeds.

Sorely Lacking Features


It may take you some time to set everyting up, but automatic updates of your products worth it. And looks like the plugin support does its job well.



I am a bit concerned about no activity indicator and no opportunity to choose product categories + it would be nice to have an opportunity to set title and description attributes to other fields (e.g. custom fields). That would be great!


Useful, usable, takes time


If you have a Google Merchant Center account with multiple websites in it, sub-accounts, this plugin does not work.  It makes you connect your email for your Google Account, then only provides an option to create a new single account, even though we already have everything set up as a sub-account under a parent account.



It should just let you connect the parent account, then select which sub-account you want to use, just like every Google Analytics plugin has, but it doesn't have it.



When will this be supported?  This is useless for us otherwise.


Does Not Work with Advanced Google Merchant Acct (Multi Website Sub accounts)


This worked great for a few months but I just checked my merchant account to see this is no longer pushing over products. I have 1 active product and 43 unsynced ones for no reason I can determine. No errors on either end; it's just no longer working.

Ok. So I have to make an account first at Wordpress.com ? Too many steps. I just wanted to connect my WordPress site to Google ads, not create yet another account somewhere. Just for login in to Google I have to write password + get sms with a code and write that also. I'm not going to create yet another account somewhere. Too much work for too little.

not sure how people are 1 staring lol it was close to the easiest set up ever in moments i had my products on google for free ... the free side worked so well for me ( 5 sales 2nd day all google referral clicks ) i paid in to a campaign just to see how much more of a diff it makes . thanks devs

Product Feed Manager For WooCommerce – Sell on 200+ Online Marketplaces


The free plugin works and allows configuring and generating feeds, but I can't give it 5 stars because:




Some really basic features (like having product EAN code or brand name in the feeds) are deliberately restricted to the paid version only, even though they would realistically amount to maybe 20 lines of mostly copy-paste code.



Custom XML feeds are quite limited, partly due to existence of the paid version, and partly because some things are just not implemented at all. A common limitation many will likely face is the lack of possibility to configure a feed with non-flat structure of the product element (e.g. with multiple category or image URL elements grouped under a parent element). Basically, custom feeds can only be flat, like root > product > property or root > products > product > property. I have configured XML feeds of 5 types so far, and not one of them could be fully done as a feed of Custom type.



No extension mechanism to add your own custom merchant types is provided. If you can't find a suitable feed template and want to implement one yourself, you end up having to modify the mostly undocumented code of this plugin, meaning you can't benefit from easy automatic updates anymore, unless you hijack that functionality as well.



In my not-really-humble opinion, the source code of this plugin is overly complicated and difficult to grasp. Some classes seem unnecessary, and the shear amount of these classes, as well as their inconsistent naming and dated code style, contributes greatly to the feeling of working with a huge pile of mess. Although I'll admit I have a similar feeling each time I'm asked to do pretty much anything code-wise on a WordPress site, so it's either my personal problem, or a broader issue with the WordPress ecosystem.




EDIT. On the bright side:




A lot of preconfigured feed templates are provided. If they suit your needs, you can start serving your feeds pretty quickly.



The dude supporting this plugin on its support forum (I don't know if he's its author as well) is really friendly, positive and responsive, as can be seen from his comment below this review. I'm giving the plugin the fourth star just for that. :)

Excellent plugin. Ran into a little problem, got a solution one day later. Definitively recommended!
