Google Tag Manager

I know there's been a lot of frustration with this plugin in the past, but after making the plugin author aware of Google's change to how the Tag Manager scripts should be loaded, he's updated the plugin and it works great.

I've tested version 1.0.2 of the plugin by dynamically injecting a Google Analytics script through the Google Tag Manager (which didn't work properly in version 1.0.1) and it now works perfectly!

Works Great After Update

Does what it says, inserts just the GTM code at the right time at the right location.

Fell in love with the simplicity of this plugin, wonder why it does not show up in top when looking for GTM plugin for WP.

Had to mess around with so many other plugins before I found it. All other related plugins are too complex, and slows down the site as well. This plugin does what its supposed to do and nothing else :)

Kudos to the author for such a beautiful implementation.

One suggestion though, if there would have been a single "do_action" with some custom action, before printing the GTM code, could make it easier to add some custom JS variables, if needed, to pass along to GTM, rather than printing them at wp_head with priority 9.

The Google Tag Manager plugin adds a field to the existing General Settings page for the ID and outputs the javascript to make it work.

THA Hooks Interface is a WordPress plugin developed by <a href="http://thematosoup.com" rel="nofollow ugc">ThematoSoup</a>. It creates a settings page which allows you to add code (PHP and HTML) by using hooks defined by the <a href="https://github.com/zamoose/themehookalliance" rel="nofollow ugc">Theme Hook Alliance</a>.
Core WordPress offers a suite of action hooks and template tags, but does not cover many of the common use cases. The Theme Hook Alliance is a community-driven effort to agree on a set of third-party action hooks that THA-compatible themes pledge to implement in order to give desired consistency.
THA Hooks Interface checks whether a theme uses these standardized hooks and if it does, it creates an interface where you can add code to almost any part of the theme.
If your active theme does not declare support for <a href="https://github.com/zamoose/themehookalliance" rel="nofollow ugc">Theme Hook Alliance</a> hooks, you can still use with wp_head and wp_footer hooks which are standard WordPress hooks. Also, if it doesn’t, please bug your theme developer about it 🙂
