<p>This plugin uses hooks append social share icons to your content.</p>
<p>It uses the if_single() WordPress hook to ensure only fires on all single posts or the included WooCommerce hooks.</p>
<p>Configured shared content:</p>
<p>Image = post featured Image – full url<br />
Title = post title<br />
Content = the first 40 words of the content<br />
URL = the post permalink</p>

<p>To use Iconmonstr SVG code<br />
1. Search for your required icon<br />
1. Click on the icon you like<br />
1. Ensure SVG is selected<br />
1. Agree to the license conditions<br />
1. Click on Embed<br />
1. Ensure Inline is selected<br />
1. Highlight the displayed SVG code<br />
1. Copy and paste the code into the relevant icon section<br />
1. Save Changes at the bottom of the page</p>

The Icon Block

Really love this plugin, have a good collection of inbuild svg icons to use and we can use any custom svg icon by simply pasting in the provided popup. Color, flip, linking, alignment, rotating, width control, everything is their that we do with an svg icon! 

The best part, it not load any icon library to display icons, so not create any extra load time on pages, and even if we move the page from a site to another site not having this plugin, it still work, as svg icon code remains :)

It's a good Plugin!
I always coded an Icon Block for myself but this one features everything I need.
Just the classes that are applied from my theme json colors where not right.

But this was no effort for me, I just changed the name of my colors (without _ and no camelCase).

This is one of those lovely plugins, which without bells and whistles simply do, what they promise—in this case to easily insert icons into your posts or pages. 



The plugin uses the wordpress icon library which includes no less than 276 icons in total. As no third party font is used, European users don't need to worry about violation of the GDPR. Instead all icons are provided as scalable svg-icons, hosted from your own website if you use them in your posts and pages. Cool.



You miss an icon or don't like a particular shape? Don't worry. The plugin lets you use your own svg-files (or any free svg-file which you find in the web). And in the unlikely event, this isn't enough, the plugin developer describes in a web page, how you can add your own icon library. How awesome is that?



Can we have more plugins like this, please?

Works & feels like a native block, perfect.

This block is what every web designer have been waiting for.



A couple of ideas to enhance it:




Add hover / focus color: especially useful when a link is defined



Add padding support: so we can set 48px for wrapper and a smaller size for the icon itself



Support for block button: maybe WP 6.5 could allow it but not sure
