GST Report for WooCommerce is a lightweight, fast admin dashboard built entirely with native PHP and direct database queries. It generates GST-compliant reports for Indian WooCommerce stores, handles both intra-state (CGST + SGST) and inter-state (IGST) tax calculations across 18% and 5% GST rates, and lets you export to Excel or open a PDF tax invoice in one click — all without leaving WordPress admin.

<li>Flexible HSN lookup — Reads HSN from product meta (<code>hsn</code>, <code>_hsn_code</code>), product attributes (any attribute whose name contains “HSN”), or order-item meta — whichever is present. Checks variation first, then parent product.</li>
<li>HPOS compatible — Works with both the classic <code>wp_posts</code> order table and WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS/COT). Detects automatically.</li>
<li>Filtering & search — Filter by start/end date, sort newest or oldest, search by order ID or billing email. Paginated at 50 orders per page.</li>

<h4>How GST Calculation Works</h4>
The plugin uses WooCommerce’s own tax totals stored against each order line item:
<ul>
<li>Intra-state (TN): If billing state is Tamil Nadu, tax is split 50/50 as CGST + SGST.</li>
<li>Inter-state: All other billing states are treated as IGST.</li>
<li>5% GST: Products assigned to a tax class whose name contains <code>5</code> (e.g. “GST 5%”) are reported under the 5% columns.</li>
<li>18% GST: All other taxed products are reported under the 18% columns.</li>
<li>0% / Exempt: Products with no tax are reported under the zero-rated supply column.</li>

<li>Pure PHP — no JavaScript frameworks, no React, no REST API.</li>
<li>All data fetched via <code>WC_Order_Query</code> and direct SQL with <code>$wpdb->prepare()</code>.</li>
<li>All <code>$_GET</code> input is sanitised with <code>sanitize_key()</code>, <code>sanitize_text_field()</code>, <code>absint()</code>, and <code>wp_unslash()</code>.</li>

It does not send any information to external servers. 
All invoice and tax data is stored locally within your WordPress database.
<h3>Developer Notes</h3>
This plugin follows WordPress coding standards and enqueues all CSS/JS properly. 
In certain cases, inline <code><style></code> blocks are used inside PDF template files only. 
Reason: These templates are rendered by the PDF generator (dompdf/dompdf). WordPress functions like <code>wp_enqueue_style()</code> cannot be applied in this context because the output is not a browser page, but a static PDF. 
The inline CSS is always loaded from local files bundled with the plugin and does not include any dynamic code or external requests. This approach is required for correct PDF rendering. 
All front-end and admin scripts/styles outside of PDF templates are enqueued using <code>wp_enqueue_style()</code> and <code>wp_enqueue_script()</code>.
