<p>Comments are extremely critical for the success of a blog. All existing blog platform and commenting plugins only let readers add comments all the way at the bottom of a post, out of the context of the content in the post. When you write a long blog post with, say, 10 paragraphs, and readers are commenting on a particular statement or expression in paragraph 3, they have to scroll back and forth to read the context to figure out what the comments are about. The “In-Context Comment” plugin changes that: Now you can add an “In-Context Comment” icon using <in-context-comment:here:tag> (where “tag” is any word or words connected by hyphen ) at any place you want readers to comment on and they will be able to click and open a window to add comments right there, next to the context so other readers can see both the context and the comments in one glance. The comment window automatically closes when a reader clicks the cursor anywhere outside the comment window so it does not interfere with the reading.</p>
<p>This plugin can also help you grow your readership by posting the comments to the commenters’ Facebook and Twitter status updates to bring in new readers to your blog.<br />
You can also configure the “In-Context Comment” plugin to automatically add a comment icon at the end of each paragraph that is longer than a certain number of characters. This auto feature is enabled by default with a minimum character count of 360. Please go to the plugin’s Settings page to change.</p>

<h4>if</h4>
<p>Using this shortcode you can limit the display of the text or shortcodes to specific page(s) on your website. You can use all the <a href="https://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags" rel="nofollow ugc">conditional tags</a> WordPress provides. Checkout examples below.</p>
<p>Show text only on the homepage:</p>

<p>Show text only on the About page of the site:</p>

<p>Show only on the category archive view:</p>

<h4>switch_to_blog</h4>
<p>Run shortcodes in the context of another website in the network. This shortcode is only available in multisite installations (WP Network). For example, list posts from another blog:</p>

<h4>iterator</h4>
<p>Display text or shortcodes only if repeated a certain number of times. Requires an “id” parameter which should be unique for that shortcode (can be anything you want).</p>

<p>After every 5th call to that shortcode, render the output.</p>
<h4>get_template</h4>
<p>Load a template file into the page. The referenced file is loaded from child theme if it exists, if not from the parent theme. Example, load includes/slider.php template file from the theme:</p>

<h4>scheduler</h4>
<p>Show text or shortcodes only if the specified date has passed. Example, show the text only if it’s after Christmas of 2016:</p>

<p>Display a link to login page if user is not logged-in, or a logout page if they are. Parameters:</p>

<h4>login_form</h4>
<p>Display the login form.</p>
<h4>custom_field</h4>
<p>Display a custom field from a post. Parameters:</p>

<li>key : name of the custom field to show. This parameter is required.</li>
<li>post_id : the ID of the post to display the custom field from; by default uses the current post in the loop</li>
<li>before : show a text to display before the value of the field</li>
<li>after : show a text after the value of the field</li>

<h4>disable</h4>
<p>Wrap any content or shortcode with <code>[disable]</code> shortcode to prevent that piece of content from being rendered. Perfect for debugging shortcodes.</p>
<h4>the_id</h4>
<p>Shows the current post ID; useful when you need to debug WP Loops.</p>
