<p><strong>IP Locator</strong> is a country and language detection tool for WordPress. It is fast, reliable and plug & play.</p>
<p>It can detect and render the country, the main language and the country flag of each visitor of your site. It provides:</p>

<li>many shortcodes to display country names, languages and flags (emoji or vectorized);</li>

<p><strong>IP Locator</strong> can be used too to report the following main items and characteristics:</p>

<li>KPIs: number of detected countries and languages, accesses breakdown and detection ratio;</li>
<li>countries for real humans with public IPs;</li>
<li>languages for real humans with public IPs;</li>
<li>metrics variations;</li>
<li>metrics distributions;</li>

<li>full list of countries per client (requires the free <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/device-detector/" rel="ugc">Device Detector</a> plugin).</li>

<p>Technically, <strong>IP Locator</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>works on dedicated or shared servers;</li>
<li>can detect the source IP even behind proxies or load-balancers;</li>
<li>can use AWS CloudFront, Cloudflare and Apache mod_geoip to speed-up detection;</li>
<li>natively supports APCu caching(1) and all other dedicated object caching mechanisms, like Memcached or Redis;</li>
<li>has a minimal footprint in the page rendering time;</li>
<li>runs its data updates in background, without impact on the website speed;</li>
<li>is fully compatible with multisites;</li>
<li>natively supports names and languages localizations(2).</li>

<p>(1): <a href="https://www.php.net/manual/en/intro.apcu.php" rel="nofollow ugc">APCu</a> needs to be activated on your server if you want to use it in IP Locator.</p>
<p>(2): <a href="https://www.php.net/manual/en/intro.intl.php" rel="nofollow ugc">PHP Intl extension</a> needs to be activated on your server if you want to use it in IP Locator.</p>

<p>This plugin gives your visitors the possibility to report a comment as inappropriate. After a set threshold is reached the comment is put into moderation where the moderator can decide whether or not he want to approve the comment or not. If a comment is approved by a moderator it will not be auto-moderated again while still counting the amount of reports.</p>
<h3>Customizations</h3>
<p>By default this script should hook in just fine in most existing themes as it attaches itsself after the comment-reply link via the comment_reply_link filter.<br />
In case this does not work out you can place the flagging link manually by defining no_autostart_safe_report_comments in your themes’ functions.php file and initializing the class via <code>$safe_report_comments = new Safe_Report_Comments(false);</code>.</p>

<p>Furthermore there are various actions and filters within the script to allow easy alteration of implemented behavior. Please see inline documentation.</p>
<h3>Known issues</h3>
<p>Automatic mode implementation currently does not work with threaded comments in the last level of threading. As the script attaches itself to the comment_reply which is not displayed once the maximum threading level is reached the abuse link is missing at this point. As a workaround set the threading level higher than the likely amount of threading depth.</p>
