<p>I created my first plugin when I created my CEO Blog. The problem is obvious: I am going to have a CEO blog where I can share my thoughts with the team frequently. I tried to write a different blog, and I found it is just impossible to maintain two. So I decided to put it on to my own personal blog.</p>
<p>Although most of the articles are public in nature, I do have something that I hope to disclose to the general public later. I don’t want to have complicated OAuth based verification. A simple IP based restriction is good enough. There is no simple solution so I wrote one myself.</p>


IP Only

Restrict access only to specific IP address. Other visitors will see a message. The article is hidden from feed as well.

<p>This plugin will allow you to restrict all, none, or certain pages/posts to logged in users only.</p>
<p>In some cases where you are using WordPress as a CMS and only want logged in users to have access to the content or where you want users to register for purposes unknown so that they can see the content, then this plugin is what you are looking for.</p>
<p>Simple admin interface to select all, none, or some of your pages/posts.  This now works for posts!</p>
<h3>Upgrade</h3>
<ol>
<li>Deactivate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>
<li>Delete the previous <code>pagerestrict</code> folder from the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Upload the new <code>pagerestrict</code> folder to the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>

<h3>Usage</h3>
<ol>
<li>Visit Settings>Page Restrict in the admin area of your blog.</li>
<li>Select your restriction method (all, none, selected).</li>
<li>If you chose selected, select the pages you wish to restrict.</li>
<li>Enjoy.</li>

This plugin used to work great, but with WordPress 4.8+, it fails and the author hasn't provided any recourse. For shame.
