<h3>Configuration</h3>
API Key 
Your JetEmail API key is required. Get one by signing up at <a href="https://dash.jetemail.com" rel="nofollow ugc">dash.jetemail.com</a>
From Address 
The email address that will appear as the sender. This must be from a domain that is verified in your JetEmail account.
From Name 
The name that will appear as the sender (e.g., “My Website” or “John Doe”).
Email Logging 
Enable to store all sent emails in your WordPress database. This allows you to view email history and resend emails.
Auto Purge 
Enable to automatically delete old email logs. Set the retention period (default: 30 days) to control how long logs are kept.

This plugin connects to the JetEmail transactional email API to send emails on behalf of your WordPress site.
What the service is: 
JetEmail (<a href="https://jetemail.com" rel="nofollow ugc">jetemail.com</a>) is a transactional email delivery service. This plugin uses the JetEmail API to send all WordPress emails (such as user registration, password resets, WooCommerce notifications, and contact form submissions) through JetEmail’s email infrastructure instead of your server’s default mail system.
What data is sent: 
When an email is triggered by WordPress, the following data is sent to the JetEmail API:
<ul>
<li>Recipient email address(es)</li>
<li>Sender email address and name (as configured in plugin settings)</li>
<li>Email subject line</li>
<li>Email body content (HTML and/or plain text)</li>
<li>Email headers (CC, BCC, Reply-To if applicable)</li>
<li>File attachments (if any)</li>
</ul>
When data is sent: 
Data is transmitted to the JetEmail API each time WordPress attempts to send an email via the wp_mail() function, but only when:

<li>The plugin is activated</li>
<li>A valid JetEmail API key is configured in the plugin settings</li>
</ul>
If no API key is configured, the plugin does not connect to external services and WordPress uses its default email handling.

This plugin uses <a href="http://mandrillapp.com/api/docs/" rel="nofollow ugc">Mandrill API</a> to send outgoing emails, with or without attachments, from your WordPress installation. It replaces the wp_mail function included with WordPress.
Emails are tracked and automatically tagged for statistics within the Mandrill Dashboard. You can also add general tags to every email sent, as well as particular tags based on selected emails defined by your requirements.
You can also use your own templates that have been added to your MailChimp account and shared with your Mandrill account.
There are a few levels of integrations between your WordPress installation and this plugin:
<ol>
<li>The simplest option: Install it, configure it, and Send Emails with Mandrill will start sending your emails through Mandrill.</li>
<li>If you need to fine tune certain emails, you can change any email by creating a filter for the mandrill_payload hook.</li>
<li>For further customization, we’ve exposed a function that allows you to send emails from within your plugins, instead of the regular wp_mail function: wpMandrill::mail</li>
</ol>
Enable the connection by entering a valid API key in the settings page or adding the line <code>define('SEWM_API_KEY', '{YOUR_API_KEY}')</code> your site’s wp-config.php file.

<li>Daily statistics will show data for the first 20 senders (emails) registered.</li>
<li>Daily statistics will show data for the first 40 tags registered.</li>

If your account has more than 20 senders registered or more than 40 tags used, the detailed daily statisticas might show incompleted data.

Send Emails with Mandrill

This was a super useful plugin that Mandrill/MailChimp stopped supporting, so glad to see it being actively supported again!

Great that this plugin got a second life! It beats tons of other SMTP plugins trying to support mandrill. It needs a few updates to be fully PHP7.4 compatible and it would be great to have a few extra options (thing return_path_domain etc). On that note: I can help if that would in this great effort!?
