WordPress can be sometimes slow and make a lot of call to the database when you want to display a lot of posts with featured images in on beautifull long scrolling page. I a case like that you need to hit the database to get the featured image of every post.
JSON Cache fix this issue. it allow you to generate a json file that content all the informations of a post so the user when visiting your site just need to open the json file.

Schema Default Image is an extension for the Schema plugin, it extend Schema functionality by adding ability to set a default image, which will be used in schema.org markup output if no Featured image is attached to the post.
Note: This extension requires <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/schema/" rel="ugc">Schema plugin</a> to be installed and activated on your site.
Google requires every <a href="https://schema.press/docs-premium/add-schema-article/" rel="nofollow ugc">Article</a> and <a href="https://schema.press/docs-premium/add-schema-org-markup-blogposting/" rel="nofollow ugc">BlogPost</a> to have an image property within its schema.org markup, otherwise you will get an error in Rich Results testing tool and Search Console.
Also, Google recommends uploading a high quality image, it shouldn’t be smaller than the <a href="https://schema.press/docs-premium/image-size-smaller-than-recommended-size/" rel="nofollow ugc">recommended image size</a>.
