A simple plugin that gives you the flexibility to set whether you want individual plugins to update or not. This is something I find very useful on many of my sites. Some plugins have been edited by previous Developers and they cannot be updated. Other plugins on the same site still need to be updated. You can set this to update the ones that can be updated automatically and don’t need specific attention.
Choose whether you want the updater to update even though you are using a version control system such as SVN or git.
Users can set automatic updates:

<li>For Minor WordPress Releases</li>
<li>For Themes</li>
<li>For All Plugins</li>
<li>For Individual Plugins</li>
<li>Change notification email address.</li>

I use this on all the sites I develop.  It works great! I really like the individual plugin setting feature.  It allows me to select which plugins automatically update.  This is something that Advanced Automatic Updates does not allow you to do.

This plugin is a fork of <code>Disable All WordPress Updates</code> plugin. Like that plugin, Core Updates Permission completely disables the theme, plugin and core update checking system in WordPress. The plugin prevents WordPress from checking for updates including cronjobs, and prevents any notifications from being displayed. The one significant difference is that this plugin also allows you to pick and choose administrators that can have the ability to make updates.
It’s very important that you keep your WordPress theme, core and plugins up to date. If you don’t, your blog or website could be susceptible to security vulnerabilities or performance issues.
If you use this plugin, it’s a good idea to give one administrator the ability to see update notifications to keep up to date with new releases of your active WordPress version, plugins and themes and update them as new versions are released.
