<h4>What is Listic?</h4>
<p>Listic is a WordPress plugin that allows users to quickly and easily create multi-page listicles of any size within a single post. This is accomplished by using the [listic] shortcode along with item names or numbers of your choice.</p>
<h4>Quick Start Example Code</h4>
<p>NOTE: All Listicl listicles MUST start with a “start” item, as shown below.</p>

<h4>How to Use Listic</h4>
<p>The key to using Listic is the [listic] shortcode. Use the shortcode multiple times in one post to build up your list, but remember to start with the start page!</p>
<h4>1. Create the Start Page</h4>
<p>Your first listic item is your start page. It is the item that will be displayed on the blog page and category pages. Other items and pagination will only appear on the single post page itself.</p>
<p>The first item must always be called “start”, and will look something like this:</p>

<p>The start page contains no item list numbers (compared to when it is shown in a single post page, when it will contain the pagination below it)</p>
<h4>2. Create Item Pages</h4>
<p>After you’ve set up your start page, you can create as many item pages as you like. At this point, your code will look something like this:</p>

<p>Each slide will load according to the item that has been clicked in the pagination.</p>
<h4>3. Customize Item Names (optional)</h4>
<p>One of the coolest things about Listic is that after you’ve created the initial “start” page, you can use ANY names you want for the slides. Want to change slides from “1, 2, 3” to “Mandarin Oriental, Belmond, Peninsula”? You can do it! Just type code as such:</p>

<h4>Customizing Listic’s Look</h4>
<p>Althoug the basic formatting of Listic should adapt well to most WordPress themes and sites, users may want to use the numerous css classes included in Listic to change the look of various elements. Any of the following classes can be used to do so:</p>

<p>Developed internally for our Adjustly theme, this plugin allows authors to create multi-page posts and pages to the WordPress Visual and HTML toolbar. This is not a post-to-post navigation feature, this is specifically about adding page breaks to a single, very long page/post. We did not create any new features with this plugin, it simply brings back an existing feature to the toolbar.</p>

<h4>Usage</h4>
<p>Usage is identical to adding the more separator and looks as follows:</p>

<p>That’s it.  WordPress already has support for treating this as a page break when viewing the article and will add a page navigation tool at the end of each page or post. In fact, <code></code> has been around for at least 4 years and has been commented out in wp-admin/quicktags.js since at least version 1.5.1</p>
<p>WordPress knows your article is not really 2 or more individual pages so your entire page/post is still edited as a single, very long post, on the backend.  You will not be jumping from section to section, nothing changes with regards to how you currently edit pages and posts.</p>

<h3>Troubleshooting</h3>

<li>Hey, I have 3.3+ installed but it’s not working!</li>
</ol>
<p>If you can’t see any pagination tools at the end of your post then it’s likely that your theme was not made to accomodate this feature.  The fix is easy, add the following code to your single.php file inside your theme:</p>

<p>Add this code just prior to the comments_template() code or move it around to see where it suits you best.  You may want to add the name of your theme to the code (remove “adjustly” and put your theme name in its place).</p>
<p>You will aslo have to add the above code to page.php as well (code is identical).</p>
