<h4>When Does This Plugin Contact External Services?</h4>
<p>The plugin communicates with Collaborator in the following situations:</p>

<li><strong>Initial Setup</strong>: When you enter your API token in the setup wizard, the plugin generates HMAC keys and registers with the Collaborator API.</li>
<li><strong>Iframe Embedding</strong>: When editors access the Collaborator interface from within WordPress, an iframe loads content from https://collaborator.magid.com</li>
<li><strong>Post Creation</strong>: When you create a post through the Collaborator interface, the content is sent to your WordPress site via the REST API using HMAC authentication.</li>

<h4>Data Handling</h4>
<p>All communication between your WordPress site and Collaborator uses secure HMAC-SHA256 authentication. No personal data is transmitted to Collaborator beyond what is necessary for post creation. All API credentials are encrypted and stored securely in your WordPress database.</p>

<li>Stores connection status and configuration settings locally</li>
