<li>What data is sent, and when: when a site visitor opens the chat and sends a message, that message (and any contact details the visitor chooses to share, such as a name or phone number) is sent to the MakoChat service to generate the AI reply and deliver leads to the site owner. The page’s hostname is also sent so the widget only operates on websites the account owner has authorized. No data is sent for visitors who never interact with the chat beyond the script loading.</li>
