<li>Data sent: During the consent flow the site posts your Google Cloud client ID, client secret, redirect URI, and the one-time authorization code to https://oauth2.googleapis.com/token, then calls https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v2/userinfo to record which account is connected.</li>
<li>When data moves: Only when an administrator clicks “Connect Google Account” or “Connect Sheets”; no background jobs refresh tokens unless you start the OAuth flow.</li>
<li>Optional: Yes. Inventory building, sitemap caching, crawls, and reports continue to run without signing in to Google.</li>

<p><strong>What it is:</strong> Google Search Console URL Inspection API is used to check if URLs are indexed in Google Search. This is the most accurate method as it uses official Google data.</p>

* When you check a URL’s indexing status using the Google Search Console method, the plugin sends:<br />
  * The URL you want to check (inspectionUrl)<br />
  * Your website’s URL (siteUrl)<br />
  * Your site’s language code (languageCode)<br />
* For authentication, the plugin uses OAuth2 with a Service Account JSON key that you provide. This involves:<br />
  * Sending a JWT (JSON Web Token) to Google’s OAuth2 token endpoint to obtain an access token<br />

<li>If you do not configure the Google Custom Search API, the plugin may fall back to HTML parsing of Google search results, which is less reliable and may violate Google’s Terms of Service. We strongly recommend using the Custom Search API instead.</li>
