Important: This plugin has a new maintainer. So the plugin will now be active developed again, and it’s now part of <a href="https://goinput.de" rel="nofollow ugc">goINPUT</a>.
Multiple Domain allows you having more than one domain in a single WordPress installation. This plugin doesn’t support
more than one theme or advanced customizations for each domain. It’s only intended to enable constant navigation under
many domains. For a more complex setup, there is
<a href="https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network" rel="nofollow ugc">WordPress Multisite (MU)</a>.
When there is more than one domain set in your host, all links and resources will point to the default domain. This is
the default WordPress behavior. With Multiple Domain installed and properly configured, it’ll update all link on the
fly. This way, the user navigation will be end-to-end under the same domain.
You can also set an optional base URL. If you want only a set of URL’s available under a given domain, you can use this
restriction.
Additionally, a language can be set for each domain. The language will be used to add <code><link></code> tags with <code>hreflang</code>
attribute to document head. This is for SEO purposes.

Multiple Domain

Hello,

Does this plugin work on multisite installation?

For example, if I appoint both abc.com & def.com to the same wp multisite installation, then

Main site:
  abc.com = def.com
Sub sites:
  123.abc.com = 123.def.com
  456.abc.com = 456.def.com
  ...

Something like this.

Thanks in advance.

Is it multisite compatible?

There are time, you would wish to maintain a seperate domain/subdomain for Dashboard area to securely access. This plugin let you access while properly rewriting internal links to selected domain. The author of this plugin is highly responsive. Thank you so much.

The Most Useful Plugin ❤️

Many thanks to the people who created and maintained! Exactly the solution I needed for the current project!

Really helpfull plugin and great for SEO too.

Great

Having a staging page separated from production, but in the end with same databases, switching to that staging site without being redirected back to a production URL is a total lifesaver!

Saving a lot of frustration

This plugin allows you to have multiple domains in a single Wordpress installation and enables custom redirects for each domain.

The Multiple Domains with Analytics plugin allows WordPress to be mirrored across multiple domain names. This requires your DNS settings to be configured ahead of time so that all of your domain names point to the same location. While configuring DNS settings in this way will point all visitors to the same site regardless of domain name, any interaction on the page (clicking an internal link) will revert back to the base domain name that exists in the WordPress general options. This plugin allows the domain name that was initially used by the visitor to stay constant as well as display a customizeable Name and Tagline for the duration of their visit. In addition, this plugin can include separate Google Analytics codes to track the traffic to each domain.
Full list of features:
<ul>
<li>Unlimited number of mirrored domains.</li>
<li>Customization for Site Title, Tagline, Analytics Code and URL for each domain.</li>
<li>Can be used with or without another Google Analytics plugin, it’s your choice.</li>
<li>If enabled, this plugin uses the asynchronous Google Analytics tracking code, the fastest and most reliable tracking code Google Analytics offers.</li>
<li>Option to ignore logged in users when Google Analytics is enabled.</li>
</ul>
