You can mark external hyperlinks as rel=”nofollow” as they might be having a nagative impact on your site SEO. Google crawlers don’t crawl or rate the links that are marked as nofollow.

Below are the steps to install New Page Link plugin
<ol>
<li>Upload plugin to the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>
<li>Go to the settings menu in the dashboard and then look for new link menu in it (settings/newlink).</li>
<li>Click on new link menu </li>
<li>Type the value ‘Yes’ to make links in body of your pages to open in new window</li>
<li>Type ‘No’ or anything else to keep them opening in the same window</li>
<li>Also you can add classes in another textbox of the hyperlinks that you don’t want google to include in your seo or impact your seo. So simply write class name followed by semicolon. There is no limit to how much class names you can add.</li>
<li>And you are done !</li>

The Open in New Window Plugin Plugin uses JavaScript to target external links to a new browser window, leaving your blog page open. 
Since it uses javascript, it targets more links than using a plugin that filter pages and rewrite the link. The plugin will find many links generated in scripts or pasted into posts and comments. 
Due to the limitations of javascript it will not be able target links in iframes such as Adsense and some other affiliate links.
