Basic Usage
Usage is simple. Create a new post or page add your content to it. Wherever you want a Google Checkout button to appear include a shortcode like the following example. When you view your published post or page the shortcode will be automatically replaced with a corresponding Google Checkout button.

Shortcode Attributes
The Nice Google Checkout Lite plugin provides a number of options through the inclusion of 6 shortcode attributes. These attributes are as follows.

Each attribute can be set in the shortcode by including the attribute name followed by an equals sign and the attribute value in quotes.

Shortcode Attribute Definitions
name
[nicecheckoutlite name=”Item Name”]
The name of the item being sold. If omitted, payers enter their own name at the time of payment.
price
[nicecheckoutlite price=”0.00″]
The price or amount of the product or service, not including shipping & handling, or tax. If omitted from Buy Now payers enter their own amount during checkout on the Google payment page.
IMPORTANT: Do not enter a currency symbol, just the numerical amount.
description
[nicecheckoutlite description=”item description”]
Optionally, use the “description” attribute to specify a description of the item.

shipping

Shipping price is specified as a flat rate. Optionally you can specify the method that is to be used for shipping, e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx. This can be done by specifing the shipping price, then enter a semi-colon, followed by the shipping method.

tax
[nicecheckoutlite tax=”.000″]
To specify a tax rate you need to express it as a decimal value. So, if the tax to be charged is 7.5% you would enter .075 in the parameter field.
Optionally, you may specify the US state where you wish to charge tax by entering a semi-colon after the tax amount, followed by the states 2 letter abbreviation, e.g. for California enter “CA”.

quantity
[nicecheckoutlite quantity=”0″]
The number of items or item quantity included in the purchase. For example, if you wanted to sell 10 golf balls at once, you would set the item quantity to 10.
Plugin Options
The Nice Google Checkout Lite plugin allows you to configure the plugin’s global settings. Configuration of the plugin is made quick and easy through the use of it’s options page. You can find the options page at Admin>>Settings>>Nice Google Checkout Lite. The Global settings that are made available to you are as follows.
Google Merchant ID
Enter your valid Google Checkout account merchant id. Payments will be made to the Google Checkout account associated with this specified merchant id.
Google Test Merchant ID
Enter your valid Google Checkout sandbox test seller merchant id. This attribute is optional. Test payments will be made to the sandbox account associated with this specified merchant id. To use this feature you must have a Google Checkout developer account.
Google Checkout Test Mode
Select on or off to put all Google Checkout buttons in and out of test mode. When true is specified all transactions are sent to the Google Checkout sandbox. To use this feature you must have a Google Checkout developer account.
Location
Select your location. United States: US, United Kingdom: UK.
Currency Code
Valid Google Checkout 3-letter currency codes: Pounds Sterling: GBP, U.S. Dollars: USD
Default Shipping Price
Enter your default shipping price. Leave blank for no default shipping price.
Default Shipping Method
Enter your default shipping method.
Default Tax Rate

<h4>Why is there a small fee (in addition to Stripe’s fees) when using Buy Now Plus in the first place?</h4>
Unlike other stripe payment plugins for WordPress, Buy Now Plus does not require you to install an SSL Certificate on your site. This is because we use our secure servers to process payments through Stripe. Our servers cost money to maintain & secure … hence, we must charge a small fee for this service.
So before using this plugin you just have to do the math. For some users the small per transaction fee will be a cost savings (particularly for those who’s web host charge for SSL) and for others, the convenience / ease of use of Buy Now Plus will be worth the small fee.
<h4>How can I run test transactions through this system?</h4>
When you create a payment form with Buy Now Plus you can easily specify whether transactions created with it should be test or live transactions (using the livemode attribute). There are no fees (from Stripe or our servers) for running test transactions.
We recommend setting up forms initially in test mode to get the payment flow working properly before charging real transactions. Once you’re satisfied that the payment flow works for you then it’s easy to set the form to live by changing the value of the livemode attribute from “false” to “true”.

This plugin relies on the <a href="https://buynowplus.com" rel="nofollow ugc">Buy Now Plus</a> third-party service to securely process credit card payments through Stripe. All payment processing is handled on the Buy Now Plus servers so that your site does not need its own SSL certificate for PCI compliance.
<h4>API key verification</h4>
When you enter your API key on the plugin settings page, the plugin sends the key to <code>https://buynowplus.com/api/verify/</code> to confirm it is valid. No other data is transmitted during this request.
<h4>Retrieving payment buttons</h4>
When you use the Buy Now button in the WordPress editor, the plugin sends a request to <code>https://buynowplus.com/api/buttons</code> using your API key to retrieve the list of payment buttons you have created in your Buy Now Plus account.
<h4>Payment processing</h4>
When a visitor clicks a Buy Now button on your site, they are redirected to <code>https://buynowplus.com</code> to complete the checkout. Payment details are entered on the Buy Now Plus servers and processed through Stripe. No payment or credit card data is sent to or stored on your site.
