<p>⚠️ <strong>Important Requirement:</strong> This plugin relies on WordPress’s <code>wp_mail()</code> function to send email notifications.<br />
To work properly, your WordPress environment must have a <strong>working SMTP configuration</strong> or email delivery service (such as SendGrid, Mailgun, or a plugin like WP Mail SMTP).<br />
If SMTP is not properly configured or is blocked (common in development or staging environments), the plugin will not be able to send notifications. In such cases, WordPress’s default behavior (notifying only the main admin) will apply.</p>

I'm the developer of this plugin. I tested it on a live WordPress site with working email (SMTP), and it works as expected — all administrators get notified of new comments.

<p>Per default, bbPress is sending subscription notification emails as one email with a bunch of BCCs. There are various reasons why it would make more sense to send individual emails. This plugin does that, quietly in the background via WP cron, without slowing down page load times. Also increases notification performance and reduces database load on large sites.</p>

If your theme does not have this file, you can simply create it and it will be loaded automatically. AsynCRONous bbPress Subscriptions

By default, the bbPress forum reply notification emails were not being delivered to any forum subscribers. This plugin fixed that, immediately. Upon installing the plugin, the reply notification emails will just work.
