<p>OutPlug helps WordPress site owners:</p>

<li>Detect plugins that haven’t been updated in a configurable number of months.</li>
<li>Highlight outdated plugins in the admin plugin list.</li>
<li>Display stale plugins in a dashboard widget with a red exclamation mark.</li>
<li>Optionally send email alerts to the site administrator when stale plugins are detected.</li>
</ul>
<p>OutPlug is lightweight, safe, and follows WordPress best practices using the Settings API and transients for caching.</p>
<h3>External services</h3>
<p>This plugin connects to an API to obtain plugin information via the WordPress Plugin API, it’s needed to show the date the plugin was last updated.</p>
<p>It sends the each individual plugin to the API to determine the information either when the page is loaded or when it is refreshed.</p>

OutPlug scans your WordPress site for outdated plugins and alerts you when updates are overdue.

<p>This simple plugin creates a <code>/health</code> endpoint to let you monitor the status of your WordPress website. The endpoint tests the status of your database connection and returns a <code>200 OK</code> HTTP status code while your page is healthy. You can read more on HTTP status codes at the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTTP_status_codes" rel="nofollow ugc">Wikipedia article</a>.</p>
<p>External tools such as website monitoring services can access the exposed endpoint at regular intervals. This can help you verify that your WordPress website is performing correctly.</p>
