<p>Plugin to support navigation by pages – similar to built in function the_posts_navigation() for posts.<br />
Pages in navigation are filtered by provided menu (Primary menu by default) and sorted in the same order as in menu.<br />
By default, main menu is used, but different menu could be used by calling function for displaying with different menu as parameter.</p>
<h3>Disclaimer!</h3>
<p>This plugin works only with classic themes. With FSE themes it will not work, since it depends on classic menus.</p>
<h3>Usage</h3>
<h4>Basic</h4>
<p>Just install and call <code>the_pages_navigation()</code> in your php template. There is also a <code>get_the_pages_navigation()</code> function which returns string with same content.<br />
Arguments to these functions could be supplied, all optional.<br />
* $menu – a menu ID, slug, name, or object (WP_Term) for which to show pages<br />
* $start_position – start position from which position in menu to start navigation<br />
? $end_position – to which position in menu to show navigation</p>

<li>$output_text – text besides arrow</li>

Create navigation to next/previous pages similar to navigation for posts. Previous and next pages are determined from menu.

<p>Create next/previous links for pages. Adds the functions next_page_link() and previous_page_link() which links sibling to page(s).<br />
If your page doesn’t have a direct sibling the plugin will try to go out to the parent of the current page and get the parent’s next sibling. If enabled the plugin will also loop from end->beginning and beginning->end.</p>
<p>This plugin is great for utilizing WordPress for presentations. If you create a set of pages. This plugin will cycle through them. Additionally you could utilize some javascript to create a timer to automatically go from page to page.</p>
<p>This plugin is based on ‘Next and Previous Page not Post’ by Matt McInvale. Although it’s gone through almost a complete rewrite from his release in 09.  This plugin is a bit more optimized to take advantage of newer plugin techniques. Includes code from banesto as well regarding references to grandparent pages. Also added in additional features such as $args array for easier customization down the road. This plugin is great for utilizing wordpress as a presentation tool.</p>
