<p>This plugin adds optional per-page user name and password protection, implemented using standard HTTP protocol authorization headers, thus triggering the standard user/password dialog of the browser, and making it possible to make the browser store the credentials.</p>
<p>Subpages of a protected page are protected with the same user name and password as their parent.</p>
<p>Protected pages and their subpages do not show up in menus, search results and page lists.</p>
<h4>Usage</h4>
<ol>
<li>When editing a page, locate the section titled “Page Protection” (probably located near the bottom of the right sidebar).</li>
<li>Check the box “Protect page and subpages”, and provide a user name and password combination.</li>
<li>Optionally, check the box “Make page and subpages searchable”, if you want the page and its subpages turn up in search results, but only with their title, not their content.</li>
<li>Save your page.</li>

<h4>File Integrity Checker</h4>
<p>The File Integrity Checker will compare your WordPress core files as well as your plugin and theme files to their original package. Its File Comparison Viewer will show you the differences between any modified file and the original. <p>You can scan your blog for potential malware and virus using the built-in signatures. The scanning engine is compatible with <a href="https://github.com/rfxn/linux-malware-detect" title="" rel="nofollow ugc">Linux Malware Detect LMD</a> (whose anti-malware signatures are included) and with some <a href="https://www.clamav.net/" title="" rel="nofollow ugc">ClamAV</a> signatures as well. <h4>Fast and Lightweight Scanner</h4>
<p>NinjaScanner has strictly no impact on your database. It only uses it to store its configuration (less than 1Kb). It saves the scan data, report, logs etc on disk only, makes use of caching to save bandwidth and server resources. It also includes a Garbage Collector that will clean up its cache on a regular basis.</p>
<h4>Background Scans</h4>
<p>Another great NinjaScanner feature is that it runs in the background: start a scan, let it run and keep working on your blog as usual. You can even log out of the WordPress dashboard while a scanning process is running! You don’t have to wait patiently until the scan has finished. Additionally, a scan report can be sent to one or more email addresses.</p>
<h4>Sandbox for quarantined files</h4>
<p>When moving a file to the quarantine folder, NinjaScanner can use a testing environment (a.k.a. sandbox) to make sure that this action does not crash your blog with a fatal error. If it does, it will warn you and will not quarantine the file. It is possible (but not recommended) to disable the sandbox.</p>

NinjaScanner – Virus & Malware scan

Using NinjaScanner (with NinjaFirewall) is an absolute pleasure. It finds all suspect files (changed/modified/non-standard) in the Wordpress installation, even files that I forgot that I had modified!

It leans heavily on the side of security, and will show all suspects including modified files, so you want to add some exclusions here - like cache, etc. - to avoid false positives.

This is a great security tool to add to any Wordpress powered site. The guys at NinTechNet really know their stuff, and apply that knowledge well. Their other plugin NinjaFirewall is amazing, and coupled with NinjaScanner, give a really solid security base for Wordpress.
