<p>I wanted to mimic the Polaroid look that you can achieve with Google Picasa to add thumbnails to my posts. I found a plugin titled WP-Polaroidonizer that did what I wanted to some extent but it didn’t have the right feel to it.</p>
<p>The other problem I have with Polaroid-o-nizer and WP-Polaroidonizer is the lack of security. When I mention lack of security there is by default no way to restrict external sites and users from generating Polaroid pictures using your installation of Polaroid-o-nizer.</p>
<p>The goal of this plugin was to use rel= style html img tags to transform a simple URL into a Lightbox URL in which there is a thumbnail image in your post which is linked to an image that can be loaded using Lightbox or any of the Lightbox clones/alternatives.</p>
<h3>Requirements</h3>

<li>Lightbox – Not really a requirement but a recommendation if you want to have a nice ajax/javascript image overlay on your page.</li>

<li>Deactivate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>
<li>Delete the previous <code>polaroid-on-the-fly</code> folder from the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Upload the new <code>polaroid-on-the-fly</code> folder to the <code>/wp-content/plugins/</code> directory</li>
<li>Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress</li>

<p>Create an image link in your post in the following format:</p>

<p>Be sure to include <code>rel="polaroid"</code> as this activates the plugin.</p>

<li>If <code>alt="Picture[album]"</code> is included the portion listed here as Picture will be displayed as the image title in Lightbox and the portion listed as <code>[album]</code> will group multiple pictures into an album called album. The alt tag is not required and if used the <code>[album]</code> portion is not required. Read the Lightbox usage for more details on Titles and albums.</li>
<li>Be sure to place each html img tag on a separate line.</li>
<li>This plugin supports the following image formats: jpg, png, gif</li>

<p>Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced) introduces a “Classic Paragraph” block for the block editor (Gutenberg).<br />
If you are not quite ready to switch to the block editor, or have plugins that cannot be used there (yet), using the Classic Paragraph block is your best option. It lets you to continue to use the familiar TinyMCE editor for most tasks, and at the same time gives you full access to all blocks and new features in the block editor.</p>
<p>Version 5.5 continues to improve and enhance the new features introduced in version 5.0 of the plugin. It includes an improved “Clear Formatting” button, several advanced settings for tables, and importing and exporting of the settings to a file.</p>
<p>If you want to continue to use the previous (“classic”) editor in WordPress 5.0 and newer, this plugin has an option to replace the new editor with the previous one. If you prefer to have access to both editors side by side or to allow your users to switch editors, it would be better to install the <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/" rel="ugc">Classic Editor plugin</a>. Advanced Editor Tools is fully compatible with the classic editor plugin and similar plugins that restore use of the previous WordPress editor.</p>
<p>As always this plugin will let you add, remove and arrange the buttons that are shown on the Visual Editor toolbar in the Classic Paragraph and Classic blocks in the block editor, and in the classic editor (when enabled by a plugin). There you can configure up to four rows of buttons including Font Sizes, Font Family, text and background colors, tables, etc.</p>
<p>It includes 15 plugins for <a href="https://www.tiny.cloud/" rel="nofollow ugc">TinyMCE</a> that are automatically enabled or disabled depending on the buttons you have chosen.<br />
In addition this plugin adds options for keeping the paragraph tags in text mode and importing the CSS classes from the theme’s editor-style.css.</p>

It only uses functionality that is available in <a href="https://wordpress.org/" rel="ugc">WordPress</a>, and in the <a href="https://tinymce.com/" rel="nofollow ugc">TinyMCE editor</a>.</p>
<p>In that terms Advanced Editor Tools does not affect your website’s user privacy in any way.</p>

Hey! So I only see one plugin here - Advanced Editor Tools (formerly TinyMCE Advanced). It's pretty solid if you're not ready to fully embrace Gutenberg yet. The "Classic Paragraph" block is clever - lets you use the old familiar editor within the new one. Great for folks transitioning or with older plugins that don't play nice with blocks. The table tools and formatting options are handy too. Worth a try if you miss the classic editor!
